These are some photographs taken while visiting Saatchi Gallery’s Henri Barande – The Work Beyond exhibition. The artist prints large size photographs which he then modifies to have a high contrast between the background and the central subject by decreasing its opacity. It creates a very whimsical transparency that changes depending on where you are standing. He often plays with colour intensity by placing an almost “nude” print next to a bright colour. He also plays on organic/ geometric imagery to create an emergence of two opposite worlds.
