SoKo, French-born artist named Stéphanie Sokolinski, is a song-writer, singer and actress. The multi-faceted artist is definitely to look out for. Her personality, individualism, style and looks are up and coming, fresh and different. Recently starred in award-winning “Voir du Pays” – “The Stopover” written and directed by Delphine and Muriel Coulin, she plays a female soldier on a three day leave in Cyprus with her friend Aurore (Ariane Labed). Her role in the movie embodies Soko’s mindset on social issues such as gender equality and abolishment of the “Hollywood babes”.
Her other recent role (with a great cast: Gaspard Ulliel, Lily-Rose Depp, Mélanie Thierry, François Damiens etc.) has been in Stéphanie di Giusto’s “The Dancer” as Loïe Fuller an West American-born girl (beg. of 20th century) that becomes a dancer at Opéra de Paris thanks to her incredible determination. Fragile and beautiful.
